They are supposed to undergo by a 2- year premedical course which is known as the BS course and further it is followed by a 4-year medical program which is known as the MD course . And the second way- for those students who have completed their graduation, they are supposed to undergo by a 4-year of medical program which is known as the MD course. But you will have to sit for the NMAT exam before you get enrolled for MD course directly in the AMA School of Medicine .

Thus, you can save your two years by skipping the premedical/BS course if you have done your graduation already. In Philippines MBBS is known by another that is the degree of MD, which has the same value as the degree of MBBS has in India , UK , Singapore , Australia and other Commonwealth countries. All degrees are accredited by the USA.


To become eligible for studying MBBS in AMA School of Medicine, medical aspirants need to fulfill below-given eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before the date of the application.
  • He/she should not be more than 25 years of age.
  • Candidate should have an average score of 50% or above marks in class 12th.
  • For SC/ST/OBC candidates the minimum percentage required is 40%
  • The student must have studied Chemistry, Physics, Biology as main subjects in 12th.
  • Candidate has to provide proof of the paying capacity of the guardians or parents
  • The medical aspirant should have a medical examination certificate *As per the recent notification issued by MCI in agreement with the Delhi High Court, students who wish to pursue MBBS from any foreign medical university and have not registered/qualified/appeared in NEET are bound to show an Eligibility Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) at the time of admission to Foreign Medical Universities.



  • They have to submit their marksheet of 10th and 12th class School transfer certificate
  • The document should include the NEET Scorecard Code of Conduct Certificate Copy of Passport School leaving Certificate
  • Their must be a passport size photos
  • The candidate has to submit their health record and medical check-up Certificate
  • They have to submit their no criminal record Certificate
  • The document should consist of a bank statement of the parent or guardian showing the first year of the medical education fee structure
  • And other application forms that may be required a particular university
  • No criminal record certificate and Medical check-up certificate is mandatory as per the Philippines MBBS Education Institution when they apply for the Philippines VISA.

*Subjects in MD are very much similar to the subjects taught in MBBS degree in India. Students who pursue an MD degree in the Philippines would learn almost the same subjects that would help them to clear screening tests conducted by the National Board of Examinations in India.
